You. Me. We!

We are asking a few of our key partners to rally their friends, family, and networks to support our work. As a "peer to peer fundraiser" for November and December, you will be helping kids have active conversations about their differences and to cultivate more empathy and understanding for each other.

In conversations with principals and teachers, we know educators are concerned about:

• Emotional well being of the kids and teachers
• The increased use of racialized insults such as “Kung Flu“ and “go back to your country”.
• Reduced social skills due to the prolonged school break and reduced socialization from shelter in place and distance learning.
• Unprepared to process the increased focus on, and trauma responses of, national conversations around Black Lives Matter.

To meet the moment, we are creating our second online course, “You, Me, and WE” about equity and belonging. Young people will apply our core tools to have active conversations about their differences and cultivate more empathy and understanding for each other in our increasingly divided world. We are also building out mini courses about being Allies Against Racism and other powerful subjects.
